Read below the fine details of what went down during the Fresh Faces Grand Finals in Barcelona!
DAY 1 – Welcoming Fresh Faces 2014 Finalists at the Generator Hotel
On wednesday morning the models started arriving around 9am. The team of ModelManagement.com was there to welcome them at the Generator Hostel – the new, stylish and hip hostel of Barcelona considered the it place to be for young modern and hip travelers! The models came from all over the world, there was no time to waste and they almost started shooting their first pictures right away. The first day was not that chaotic! Some fun and simple shoots took place at the Generator with photographers Pelach Alonso, Natalia Sanchez, Ben Evans and David Dekel. Top choreographer Marie Ange Schmitt did her first catwalk training with the finalists, and the models & photographers got to know each other and everyone had a great lunch in the afternoon.
DAY 1 – Networking event with the finalists and the Modafad Designers
At 6pm, it was time for the models to meet 4 talented photographers at the Edificio Disseny Hub – home of Modafad! Mario Lomas, Jordi Blancafort, Nina Melton and Ben Evans together with fashion designers Pedro Covelo and Jon Mikeo, talked with the models, looked at their book and finally made a list of their favorites to shoot the day after, on Thursday! Smiles, food and drinks were also there, all topped up with a bit of spariling spanish cava provided by local brand Juve y Camps!
After this tiring first day, we all went to Generator Barcelona where a delicious and generous dinner was waiting. This moment was very friendly as the models and the ModelManagement team exchanged thoughts about their feelings and excitement for the Fashion show being held the following day! At 11, it was time to sleep and I’m sure they all dreamed about their future success!

Thursday, the D-Day! The models, photographers, hair & make-up artists, fashion designers and the ModeManagement.com team all arrived at the Edificio Disseny Hub, at 07.30 in the morning for some editorial fashion shoots! The models went straight into hair & make-up and the photographers started setting up. The 4 photographers from wednesday afternoon shot different team of models, with different styles and different locations around the Edificio Disseny Hub. After a long but awesome morning of shooting we left to one of the biggest shopping malls of Barcelona, La Maquinista, around 14 by bus!
DAY 2 – Catwalk training and fittings
It has already been a pretty intensive day for everyone especially the models & photographers, but thanks to the professionalism of everyone involved, everything went pretty smooth! Once everyone arrived at La Maquinista, Marie Ange Schmitt did another catwalk training on the runway with all the models while the stylist team led by Laia Gomez, the Montibello hairstylists and Rituals make-up artists lead by Carmina Camps and Luis Valverde, starting setting up backstage. There was not a lot of time to waste, but food is also very important! Everyone had a quick lunch and after that it was straight back to work with fittings and hair & make-up.
