Having not watched a beauty pageant in at least 10 years and being of the opinion that beauty pageants are tacky, old fashioned and uncool, I stumbled upon the Miss Universe contest last week and out of sheer boredom I decided to watch it. And surprise-surprise… There’s models in there!!!
Remember that fabulous ediotorial that the little Miss Emma Watson (aka Hermione Granger in Harry Potter) did for Harper’s Bazaar Magazine all inspired in Harry Potter scenes? Well, with the littlest addition of the images of some of the best fashion designers in the world appearing next to her, offering their clothes for her to wear?
Let me introduce you to a model who’s face can be seen all around at the moment. Her name is Sarianne Hirvonen. Signed with Finland’s no. 1 modeling agency, Paparazzi Model Management, she is one of the hottest models of the moment in Finland. She’s the latest talk of the town, and she’s just landed the title of ”Best Model of the City 2009″.
I’d say the best thing is to make a plan. Ask yourself, when do you want to finish your studies? How much do you want to travel as a model? Plus, when you are working as a model you should be prepared to wait all the time, so while you wait, why not utilize that time for reading and studying, and educating yourself.
I walked the catwalk for several brands, I have been a model for three editions at the show of Bread & Butter, also for brands of perfumes and clothes. I posed for several national and international professional photographers and worked as an actress in video clips, TV spots and in TV series and movies.
