There’s so much to love about Spring, the return of warmer, sunny days, the Spring fashion trends and brand new luxury brand campaigns! If like us you’re obsessed with everything fashion and model related, then discovering which models and themes have been selected by each brand is more than a little exciting. Spring 2016 delivered Jennifer Lawrence for Christian Dior, Lara Stone for FRAME Denim, Jourdan Dunn and Iris Apfel for Kate Spade and our favourite lady, Viv Westwood, in the canals of Venice for her own brand. The impressive list of names and beautiful imagery for SS16 goes on, so can Spring-Summer 2017 compete? We say, yes it most definitely can!
Model of the Year 2016, Bella Hadid kicks off our list of Spring campaigns as she strikes a pose for Moschino. Moschino’s fast-paced feeling images feature not just Bella but also her sister, Gigi Hadid, photographed by Steven Meisel. Gigi not only impresses in this campaign but too for Max Mara. The shoot sees Gigi, again photographed by Steven Meisel, showing off Max Mara’s accessories range and marks her third time teaming up with the Italian fashion brand.
Continuing the love of so-called Instafamous and IT girls, Dolce and Gabanna chose some popular faces to feature in their Spring-Summer 2017 advertising campaign. Check out the images and you’ll spot Cameron Dallas, Zendaya, Thylane Blondeau and Sonia Ammar as well as Luka Sabbat and a whole bunch of famous people’s children! The images are fun and youthful and we love them! In contrast to this, Balmain and Bottega Veneta took different routes, featuring well-established models and taking a step away from the social-media-famous models. Balmain captured their trademark bold designs with the help of talented photographer Steven Klein and Bottega Veneta celebrated their 50th anniversary with 73-year-old supermodel Lauren Hutton.
Finally, Balenciaga, Mui Mui, and Hermes bring a light atmosphere and fun into their new campaigns. Harley Wier’s colourful photography screams Spring for Balenciaga, Mui Mui transports us all to the beach through their eye-catching imagery and underwater shots and Hermes campaign by Jackie Nickerson is filled with airiness and movement.
