False-Eyelashes-Japanes-Style-Fashion 1

Pah to the colourful pants trend! A wiser, cheaper and savvier way to be bang on trend with the bright colour craze this season is – instead of blowing all your pay check on those bright coloured pants which will most definitely be so last season come Fall – to opt for updating your wardrobe by adding a splash of colour with some pretty make-up, nail polish and -believe it or not- hair paint instead!
I know!!! It does sound quite crazy but it looks rather chic as you will see below.

Here are some of the coolest beauty and make-up looks, fresh from this season’s hottest catwalks, guaranteed to inspire you to put the colour where it matters: on your pretty little self instead.

1) Hair Paint

Dying your hair is so passé! The new thing, dahhhhling, is to paint it instead; just like Altuzarra
and Alexander Wang did on their catwalks this season. Here is how to get the look:

2) Seeing Red

Thakoon Nars 1

One of the coolest colours to wear on your eyes this season is definitely red, as seen on Thakoon’s models. A stunning and sophisticated look if you get it right. Here is how the look was created:

3) Goddess Lips

No bright clothes? No problem! Just add a slap of a fabulous matte shade of hot pink, a la Diane
von Furstenberg, et voila! It will make your clothes pop!

4) Futuristic Eyes

Gareth Pugh Fall 2011

It’s no wonder that futuristic fashion maverick Gareth Pugh is teaming up with beauty powerhouse Mac on a make-up line to be released soon, which we are all so excited about and can’t wait to see. Gareth does not only have an amazing vision when it comes to clothes but also, when it comes to make-up, as we can see on the stunning, super avant-garde eye shadows featured in his latest show; which emphasized the bottom of the eyes rather than the top. They not only looked incredible but they also contrasted perfectly against the plain black clothes worn by the models. A must try look this season!

Check out the models on the catwalk rocking the look:

5) Naked In The Middle

Get stunning 1940’s inspired eyes with a modern twist, like those seen on the models at Manish Arora. False lashes, dramatic eyebrows and some colourful sticky pieces on both corners of the eyelids, leaving a sexy naked gap in the middle. Fabulous!

Check out the video to see them in all their glam:

6) Fake Perfection

Fake eyelashes have absolutely become a beauty staple these days, but nothing screams fake glamour more fiercely than Shu Uemura’s fabulous lash collections. We are so in love with them!

7) Birds Of Paradise

Shu Uemura’s Art Make Up competitions are showcasing some serious talent. The stunning Birds of Paradise look created by Tiffany C. on the below video features amazing, bang on trend colours, dramatic eyelashes and even a gorgeous feather used as a hair piece. Perfect for photoshoots and parties, and you can even tone it down a bit and wear it during the day too, to add a summery splash of colour to your wardrobe.

8 ) Rocking Lips

Thanks to the gorgeous Jessie J, lips are enjoying being on the spotlight again this season. Ever since we saw her stunning studded lips on her video ‘Do it Like A Dude’, Jessie’s iconic lip designs seem to have sparked a new trend of ‘lip art’, ranging from studs, to animal print, polka dots and even removable lip tattoos! Not sure if these are kiss proof though, but hey! They
do look like a lot of fun to try on once or twice, don’t you think?

9) Peacock Nails

Seen at Jen Kao’s Fall 2011 catwalk, these amazing nail art designs were so lush and so incredibly beautiful that they would even make a peacock jealous.

Here is how they were created:

10) Pretty Colorful Brows

As seen at Balenciaga and Jonathan Saunders this season, surprisingly the coloured
eyebrows look can be very wearable and looks rather chic. Don’t you think?
