PROJECT DESCRIPTION “48 Hours in Khayelitsha” is a film about Jason, a restaurant owner who wakes up in Tumi’s body, a recently fired employee’s body. He has 48 hours to find a way to swap back, or else he will lose his business. The production is by the Film School Africa and the shooting will take place at Somerset West and Khayelitsha. The short film will be 10 minutes. ACTOR PROFILE They are looking for a Caucasian male actor (ages 26-30), who speaks Xhosa, for the role of Jason, who is a restaurant owner, who is trying to grow his business by any means. However, 2 days before a big meeting, he swaps bodies with an employee he recently fired, and he must find a way back. They are also looking for an African American male actor to play the role of Tumi (ages 21-26), Tumi is an ambitious young chef who lives with his sister. He is fired from his job and wakes up the next morning in his boss, Jason’s body. He finds out all is not as it seems in his boss’ life and must figure a way to get back to his body. — at Capetown, Somerset West.
