Experienced Models Wanted for Paid Portrait Portfolio Shoot – London

I’m currently building my portrait photography portfolio and am looking for experienced models to work with on one of my first dedicated studio portrait shoots.

I want to be completely upfront that I’m relatively new to portrait photography. Because of that, I’m particularly interested in working with models who are comfortable in front of the camera, have good posing experience and are happy to contribute ideas and help the session flow naturally.

The shoot will be a carefully planned studio session in Brentford, West London, concentrating on clean, classic portraiture rather than fashion or commercial work. I’ll be shooting a mixture of full-length, three-quarter, mid-shot and head-and-shoulders portraits, with several simple lighting styles ranging from soft frontal light through to more dramatic side lighting.

I’ll be working with both digital and medium-format film, and the intention is to create strong portfolio images for both the model and myself. The atmosphere will be relaxed and collaborative, but I’m taking the preparation and technical side of the shoot seriously.

This is a paid shoot, not TFP. I’m happy to discuss rates based on experience and the length of the booking. Models will also receive a selection of professionally edited finished images for their own portfolios.

I’m particularly keen to hear from experienced models who enjoy portrait work and are comfortable helping a photographer develop their portrait-directing skills while still producing something worthwhile together.

Exact date, timings, wardrobe and other shoot details will be agreed with the selected models in advance.
