I am street photographer mostly; I'm better at portraits and try to combine the two. I'm upping my game. I have great props (and wardrobe depending on your size and comfort level). I'm also a lawyer if anyone is looking for one. Just kidding, I have too much legal work already. I want to make art. I don't come across as a lawyer in person, except that every now and then, I engage in Cross-Examination Lite. Just tell me and I'll stop.

I've been shooting since high school. The images on my website are mostly lower rez pics I took from 2001-2019, but there are some earlier ones too. I've been in three group exhibits; in one, "Grande Olde Flag" took first prize. My second published image was in the New York Times. Other than that, I've published in several literary journals. I've stopped submitting to those. I need to take more photos.

I am looking for models who are comfortable in themselves and can step out of their range. Poses are great, but show me who you are. Second, be able to carry out a conversation; an honest conversation (about whatever) helps to break down barriers between the photographer and subject. I'm trying to capture a side of your soul, which is what portraiture is, at least in part. If you have a repertoire of poses, I won't be inspired.

There are many exciting backdrops in New York City. Street art, the skyline, parks, sculpture parks, gardens. My business address is in Manhattan, but I have a studio in Long Island City with magnificent views of the Manhattan skyline, including the Empire State Building and many buildings just south and north of the UN. I shoot in jpeg and RAW and have a fondness for analog, and if I have film will take a few. I know B&W but I'm more into color, color, color.
