There is a spark within everything. A living light in the eyes of a person, a memory that flares up, the glow of a passion that was never declared. A face always tells a story of what was, what might have been or what is waiting painfully beneath the surface.
Pit Buehler produces images that may delight or disturb but always move the beholder. He photographs people. People who are famous – or not. Who are strong or delicate, broken or dynamic. Pit has travelled across more than 90 countries to photograph faces of our time-and in doing so gives a face to our time.
After graduating from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Central Switzerland with a degree in Finance and International Management, Pit Buehler was working for several years in the financial industry before he followed a personal invitation from Professor Helfried Strauß to be guest of the Master Class of Photography at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig.
Today, he lives in Switzerland as a freelance photographer, specialised in Portrait-, People and Fashion Photography.
