“Tot op de Draad” *(working English title: *“Worn to the Thread” – fine-art photo series on fashion consumption) Concept In nine consecutive frames a single model peels off one garment at a time. Every discarded layer lingers briefly in the model’s hand before dropping onto an ever-growing pile at her feet, turning the abstract problem of over-consumption into something tangible and bodily. Concept statement “In a world that produces more than 100 billion new garments a year and sends 92 million tons of textiles to landfill, Layers of Choice lets the weight of those decisions settle on one body. The clothing taken off stays visible in the model’s hand; what is laid aside forms a mounting heap at her feet. Each layer removed is a missed chance at sustainability.” Core set-up One person · one fixed camera position · nine shots. The model begins fully dressed and—layer by layer—sheds every item, making the clothing mountain rise while the body grows lighter.
