The Soul of Ballet

Looking for a female ballet dancer for a photoshoot at the visual artist Studio, Luc Martineau at his Atelier - Complexe du Canal Lachine. The photo and video shoot will take place before mid-July in Montreal. Hi-res pictures will be given to the model. Pictures will also be transformed with other media. Possibility of publication in Musetouch magazine. The Soul of Ballet is a multidisciplinary art project created by Luc Martineau , visual artist, in collaboration with Richard Tardif, photographer and Maia Sylba, blending drawings, paintings, photography, poetic texts, and dance figures. It is not a conventional homage to ballet nor a mere collection of beautiful dancer portraits. Instead, this project delves into the secret soul of ballet — its silences, its inner metamorphoses, its breathless grace. Each work is shaped like a fairytale fragment or symbolic passage. Dancers appear veiled, ethereal, dreamlike — suspended between memory and motion. The visual language draws on the tension between stillness and movement, between elegance and enigma. This project builds on Luc Martineau’s ongoing exploration of family constellations and embodied memory, combining visual poetry, painted couture, and archetypal symbolism.
