My name is Bruno Spotorno Domingues and I was born in Brazil in the early eighty’s. In 2004 I moved from my hometown, Rio Grande, to Porto Alegre and there I lived until moving to Australia with Roberta, my wife, in 2009. We lived in Sydney for a while and in 2011 moved to Brisbane, where I currently reside. I have worked in IT for my whole life. Even when attending Advertising school for five years, I was still working full time in IT. Technology has been one of my passions since I can remember. Photography became another one of my passions when I was in the University studying advertising. I had taken photos before, for night clubs and bars in my hometown, but was in the photography studio that I saw a DSLR for the first time. At first, the technology in that caught my attention and then, later, the photography itself. And so I had to put all my savings to buy my first DSLR camera: the Canon EOS 400d (XTi). Already in Australia, I bought my Canon EOS 7D, the camera that would be with me until a few months ago, when I upgraded to a Canon 5D Mark III. The Canon 7D was the only camera I shot with for over 5 years. I was not much of a traveler, back in Brazil. There are many reasons for that, one being money. Since we moved to Australia, we’ve been trying to travel as much as we can. So I’ve been doing a lot of landscape photography, even though my favourite subject is people. For my next travels, I just got myself a Sony A6000 with a few lenses, to try to travel lighter. My favourite subject is people. I love portraits of any kind. But I also love traveling so I do a lot of travel photography, landscapes, etc. Portraits are my passion. From Fashion to Head shots to Families to “a cool photo for your profile”, I’m on board!
